A medication review is a consultation with either a Doctor or pharmacist to talk about your regular medication. Medicines should be reviewed at least once a year.
Why are they needed?
Things change..for example you may have started to experience side effects, you may have started other medication, your condition may have changed or your medication may no longer be needed.
In addition you may need to have checks such as having your blood pressure taken or having blood tests ordered.
What happens at a medication review?
Your appointment will be with a Doctor or a Pharmacist and will take 10-20minutes. All medicines will be checked to make sure they are still needed and still the best medication for you. It is useful to bring all your medication with you including over the counter medications you may have bought.
